Our Roots
I moved to Canada as a young immigrant with my family. Like many newcomers, my family worked tirelessly to build a new life, and I naturally stepped into the kitchen to help my mother. What began as responsibility soon became a creative sanctuary.Cooking was never an obligation, it became my junoon. There’s a saying that some people eat to live, while others live for food. I proudly belong to the latter.Over time, I realized that food is much more than sustenance, it is a language of emotion. It allows us to express happiness, sadness, love, and comfort in the most authentic way. Sharing a meal can open doors to our deepest thoughts and feelings, creating bonds that words alone cannot.Being an emotional person, I naturally gravitated toward this medium, using flavors and textures to tell stories, evoke memories, and connect hearts. Through experimenting with the smallest ingredients, I discovered the art of creating dishes that are both flavourful and nourishing. My style celebrates resourcefulness, creativity, and emotional expression.Now, I want to share this passion with the world through Pudina Kitchen, a space where food is not just cooked but experienced: with emotion, culture, creativity, and care for health.Sargam
